Feel Good In Classes…

Nobody Expects You To
Drive Without Lessons.
So why do people expect themselves to feel confident in the gym without help?
Most people don’t struggle because they’re lazy, undisciplined, or “not a gym person.”
Usually…
they simply haven’t been taught:
✅ how to move properly
✅ how to build strength safely
✅ how to improve mobility & stability
✅ how to progress confidently
✅ how to trust their body under load
So instead they:
-
avoid certain exercises
-
second-guess technique
-
stick to the same weights forever
-
feel good in classes but lost training alone
-
feel stiff, awkward, or “old before their time”

Confidence comes after skill. Not before it.
You don't become confident with weights by waiting until you feel ready.
You become confident by learning what you're doing, then practising it enough that you start to trust yourself.
That means learning how to:
-
move through the range you need
-
control the movement
-
choose an appropriate weight
-
understand how hard you're working
-
know when and how to progress
-
adapt an exercise when something doesn't feel right
Move there. Control it. Then make it strong.
That's how we build mobility, stability and strength together, rather than just adding more weight to a movement you don't feel confident doing yet.
Because being able to lift something heavier is great.
But being able to understand, control and trust what your body is doing is what makes you capable.
Here's 5 Signs You’re Missing
The Skill Side Of Training
01.
You avoid certain exercises
Because you don’t fully trust yourself with them yet.
02.
You never know when to increase weights
So you stay stuck in the safe zone and progress is slow or non-existent.
03.
You feel strong in some movements…
…but awkward and uncomfortable in others.
04.
You feel confident
in classes…
…but lost & unsure training alone.
05.
You constantly feel stiff, tight, or achey
Often because your body needs better movement, not less movement.
This Is Why I Created
The Lift With Confidence
Think of it as driving lessons for the gym.
For six weeks, we'll work together 1:1 so you can learn the skills you'd normally be expected to somehow figure out on your own.
We'll work on things like:
Your technique
Learn how to squat, hinge, push, pull and use weights with more control — without obsessing over making every rep “perfect”.
Choosing the right exercises
Understand what suits your body, your goals and your current ability — including what to do if something feels awkward or uncomfortable.
Knowing how hard to train
Learn how to choose weights, reps and effort so you're not constantly wondering whether you're doing too much or not enough.
Getting stronger safely
We'll improve the mobility, stability and strength you need so you can progress rather than simply forcing heavier weights onto movements you don't trust yet.
Training without me
This is the important bit.
I don't want you to become more dependent on a Personal Trainer.
I want you to reach the point where you can walk into the gym, know what you're doing and trust yourself to get on with it.
Because capability creates confidence.
Your first six weeks:
£199
What does confidence
actually look like?

From gym fear to a 50km ultramarathon
Nicola started out genuinely intimidated by the gym.
Over time, she learned how to train, became more confident in what her body could do. She continues to get more skilled in the gym and completed a 50km ultramarathon.
She didn't start there.
She built the capability first.

Stronger! Free of daily aches and pains.
Blair was stressed, exhausted and struggling with back and knee pain.
He felt like he was letting his kids down because he couldn't properly join in with them.
Now he's stronger than ever, moving pain-free and has gone on to raise thousands of pounds through charity boxing and running.
He built strong foundations and hasn't looked back.

From learning the lifts
to winning competitions.
Rhiannan has gone on to compete successfully in Strongman events at national level after worrying she wasn't someone who could be strong and fit.
But even now, coaching isn't simply about putting more weight on the bar.
When she recently kept failing a 180kg deadlift, we worked on the specific thing stopping the lift rather than just telling her to try harder. Then she got it!
The result tells you what happened. Coaching asks why.
That's the point of Lift With Confidence.
We're not just trying to make you lift heavier.
We're building the skills that help you understand your training, trust your body and become more capable.
What happens after the six weeks?
The first six weeks are about giving you plenty of hands-on coaching to build your technique, confidence and understanding in the gym.
But the goal isn't to get you through six weeks and send you on your way.
After Lift With Confidence, your coaching continues through Body For Life, where we keep developing your training, nutrition and habits as your goals and life change.
And you can choose the level of support that suits you.
Body For Life Hybrid — £197/month
You might feel perfectly happy doing most of your training independently but still value having a coach in your corner.
You'll have personalised training and nutrition coaching, ongoing check-ins and support, a monthly 1:1 PT session, plus Hub Fitness classes and open gym.
Body For Life Weekly — £249/month
If you enjoy training together and want more regular hands-on coaching, you can continue with a 1:1 Personal Training session every week alongside everything included in Hybrid.
Capable enough to do it yourself.
Supported because you don't have to.
That's what I want you to get from coaching.
You'll develop the skills and confidence to understand your own training rather than feeling dependent on me every time you walk into the gym.
But that doesn't mean coaching stops being valuable.
Having someone programme for you, spot things you might miss, help you progress, solve problems when they appear and keep you moving towards your goals can make training better, easier and more enjoyable.
And as your life, goals or circumstances change,
your level of support can change with them.
Commit With Confidence...
I want you to give Lift With Confidence a proper go, without feeling like you're taking a huge risk committing long-term to something you haven't experienced yet.
So your first six weeks are covered by my 30-Day Commit With Confidence Guarantee.
Start Lift With Confidence for £199 and experience the coaching for yourself.
If, within your first 30 days, you decide you don't want your coaching to continue into Body For Life afterwards, just tell me.
You'll still complete your full six weeks of Lift With Confidence, but there'll be no further coaching payments after that.
If you're enjoying the coaching and want to keep going, you don't need to start again or sign up for another programme.
We simply go straight into Body For Life and keep building what we've already started, at the level of support suited to you.
You get 30 days to experience the coaching before deciding whether you want it to continue beyond your initial six weeks.
Questions Before You Start?
Do I need to be fit before I start?
Absolutely not.
Lift With Confidence is designed to meet you where you are now. You don't need to get fitter, stronger or more confident before you come in, that's what we're here to work on.
What if I'm really nervous about the gym?
That's exactly the sort of thing we can work on.
You'll train 1:1 with me at our private gym in Bannockburn rather than being thrown into a busy commercial gym and expected to figure everything out yourself.
We'll take things at your pace and build your confidence through actually learning and practising the skills.
What if I've got aches, pains or exercises I struggle with?
You don't need to arrive moving perfectly.
Part of the process is working out what you can currently do comfortably, where you might need more mobility, stability or control, and how we can adapt your training appropriately.
If something needs assessed by a medical professional rather than coached around, I'll tell you that too.
Do I get a training programme?
Yes.
You'll have a personalised programme based on your goals, ability and what we're working on together — not a generic workout handed to everyone.
The aim is for you to understand the programme too, rather than simply follow instructions.
Can I use the gym between PT sessions?
Yes.
You'll have access to Hub Fitness classes and open gym during your six weeks, giving you opportunities to practise what we're working on rather than only touching weights during your weekly PT session.
What happens after the six weeks?
Your coaching continues through Body For Life, and you can choose the level of ongoing support that suits you.
Hybrid: £197/month includes ongoing training and nutrition coaching, check-ins, a monthly 1:1 PT session, Hub classes and open gym.
Weekly: £249/month includes everything in Hybrid plus a 1:1 PT session every week.
And with my 30-Day Commit With Confidence Guarantee, you have your first 30 days to decide whether you want your coaching to continue beyond the initial six weeks.
You don't need to feel confident before you start.
That's kind of the point.
If you're avoiding exercises, second-guessing what you're doing or just wish someone would properly teach you how to use the gym, send me a message.
Tell me what you're struggling with and we'll have a chat about whether Lift With Confidence is the right place to start.
